Her mom helped her zip up her dress and as she turned and looked at herself in the mirror, it hit her...she was a bride. Her face immediately took on the most beautiful smile and she turned to her bridesmaids with a scream of excitement. They responded with claps and tears and smiles as big as hers. She was about to marry the love of her life, forever making a covenant with him before God and all her closest friends and family. This moment was indeed one of great rejoicing!
This wedding day had so many precious moments that included tears of joy and ear to ear grins. My favorite kind of wedding day emotions! When we did Anna-Christen's first look with her dad, I am unashamed to admit that I shed my own tears behind my lens. It was one of the most tender daddy-daughter first looks, made even sweeter by the fact that her mom and family were watching and sharing in the tears. As if that wasn't enough, Brooks face as his bride walked down the aisle reminded me yet again why weddings are so special. His expression was one of pure awe and joy, knowing that he had outdone himself and God had given him the sweetest gift. Holding hands, vowing forever and sealing it with a kiss, these two excitedly became husband and wife and I was privileged to capture it!
Brooks and Anna-Christen, it was fun to know you both separately before you were ever an us. Now, years later, how special that God brought you together the way that He did. I cannot wait to see where your journey as husband and wife takes you. I know that the best is yet to come! Thank you for giving me the honor of capturing such a beautiful day!
